Testing and Evaluation
The testing we provide at Commonwealth Psychological Associates, PLC greatly simplifies the diagnosis, treatment, and support of those in need of psychological evaluation. We offer neuropsychological, audiological, and speech/language evaluations in addition to a full range of psychological tests. This type of testing supplements and expands our existing services, which are all conveniently provided under one roof, allowing us to quickly respond to a wide variety of patient needs and an age population from early childhood to geriatric. The testing services provided at Commonwealth Psychological Associates are available to individuals, businesses, public agencies, athletes and sports teams, referring physicians, and attorneys. Some of the tests given as part of the neuropsychological evaluation are given by the neuropsychologist. Others are given by a psychometrist: A person who is not a psychologist but is specially trained and qualified to administer psychological and neuropsychological measures. While administering the measures, a psychometrist is under supervision by a licensed psychologist (in this case, the neuropsychologist), providing the doctor with observations of the patient's performance from an additional perspective. All analysis of neuropsychological data, conclusions, and report writing are performed by the licensed neuropsychologist.
